2020 is South Luangwa, Vic Falls & Chobe

We are excited to inform you that we are planning another visit to South Luangwa National Park in Zambia/Victoria Falls/Pangolin Voyager on the Chobe River in June 2020. We have previously taken nature enthusiasts and photographers to these destinations under the auspices of our travel entity Creative Escapes.

We take this opportunity of informing you of this adventure and encourage you to consider joining our group of ten participants. South Luangwa National Park has an abundance of leopards and one is almost guaranteed of viewing leopards daily. I attach a selection of images from our previous visits for your evaluation.

We are in the process of refining the journey and would spend 5 nights at Thornicroft Lodge to traverse the South Luangwa Valley with twice daily safaris into the reserve, and a safari on the afternoon of arrival. The group would fly from ORTambo in the early morning (Depart 6:30) directly to Lusaka (Arrive 8:30) in order to connect with the Proflight departure to Mfuwe at 10:40 arriving at 12:00. Thornicroft would transport us to and from the lodge. Accommodation would be as before in the river side chalets, overlooking the Luangwa River, on a full board basis for 5 nights. We would utilise two 4x4 vehicles for our exclusive use and with our own tracker guides. We arrange two game drives daily with the afternoon drive extending into the evening to observe nocturnal wild life.

We will then depart Mfuwe for Lusaka in the late morning, time dependant on the day of travel as this varies, to connect with a flight to Livingston (Depart 16:50 Arrive 18:00) as there is no direct flight from Zambia to Kasane in Botswana. Our suggestion is to spend two nights at the Avani Victoria Falls Hotel where we stayed previously and which is within walking distance of the falls, in order to view and photograph the falls. Because the flight Lusaka/Livingston arrives at 18:00 we are unable to arrange road transport on that day and in view of this we suggest an extra day to view the spectacular falls again.

We will again organise a road transfer leaving at 11:00 to transport the group to Kasane to board the Pangolin Voyager for 4 nights on the Chobe River. The Chobe River cruise was rated by many as the highlight of the previous excursions. The Pangolin Voyager cruise has numerous options which include photography, Tiger fishing, nature walks or lazing on deck with a gin and tonic in hand! The wild life viewing along the Chobe River is spectacular.

Because the Pangolin Voyager only caters for a maximum of 10 occupants in 5 cabins, we are obliged to limit this portion of the excursion to 10 participants.

We look forward to hearing from you.
